What month was the Ondoy storm? As far as my memory can recall, it was sometime Sept of ’09, after that dreadful day, i stopped working out up until today, I was 173 lbs that time and now a whopping 208 lbs i think, after a couple of months i decided to give it a rest muna..
I missed the Globe Run for Home last year, was so excited & try to run the usual dirt road rather than the threads, I told myself i ain’t gonna miss the 2010 and registered with some friends for the 5K. Finally got my Bib & Championchip, hehehe. it was the thrill from receiving the race kit until yesterday’s race day.
The fun run was great but the aftermath is such a brutal process, I barely can pull myself up, pain all over, shin area, feet, back shoulders, technically the whole shebang!
I tried to phase my body with all the smokes, food and no exercise thing for months and check if i can go the 30minute mark for the 5K category, gladly i didn’t lose a single cent on off my will power. It’s still in there inside me. The old man from the last turn going for the FINISH LINE boost my moral… a wake up call.. so i rode with the lolo up until the finish line mat while using the Spartan’s taunt! kaching! I survived..
Overall, medyo bitin but i’m starting to get the hang of it… this is a good practice for wellness… hope i can bounce back to the gym and train myself asap for the 10K and beat my time of 35mins from the 5K to like an hour or lower… I hope my 3i Suggestion to my employer implements the Fun Run asap! With all the cost savings and crap, this can be a potential income generating event…
This is great instead of wasting countless hours online playing all the games in Facebook. 2 hours of your time won’t hurt on a Lazy Sunday morning, right??
To all the runners out there, I salute you guys, tama sila, nakakaadik tumakbo! next stop Mizuno on April 11 @ The Fort… kita kits =)
